10:00 a.m. Choosing the Right Route: Guardianship & Supported Decision-Making

Presented by Molly Blazek of Blazek Law and Laura Maddox Bechard. This session explains guardianship and supported decision-making, and how to choose the path that fits your family.

Submit and Shine: Applying for the Waiver. Join professionals to learn about how and when to apply for the Developmental Disabilities Waiver for your soon-to-be adult child. Go step-by-step through the application and see what each part means and how to prepare. Attendees will need to print forms on their own and access to a computer.  

Preparing a Summary of Performance can be stressful, however, using what you already have to identify any gaps can really reduce stress and create a more meaningful summary of performance that is designed to be used as a tool for success in the move to adult life. Join for this 1.5 hour session that includes 30 minutes for Q & A.

Indicator 13 is a 100% Compliance Indicator. All districts must evaluate the files chosen by NDE and complete the Self-Evaluation. Complete this self-evaluation prior to the deadline and identify areas of need to plan ahead for next steps.  

Note: Participants must bring a computer and/or hard copies of IEPs selected by NDE. These files will be located on the ILCD tab. Letters of notification are sent to Superintendents or Principles. Please watch the NDE Sped blast for notifications of when these become availalble.
