Submit and Shine: Applying for Waiver Services
This one-hour session will provide you with support as you complete an application for the waiver (DD, A & D, Family Support or TBI). Bring your child's SS# or Alien ID #, Name, address and phone number of schools, physicians, and private therapists or counselors. Parent Professionals will guide a group through this process and help you get your child's application ready to submit. Professionals may attend to learn about this process to support families they may be working with. Parents, guardians, young adults and professionals may attend this session.

SE Nebraska Job Expo - Employment is for Everyone is an event for students with disabilities ages 14-21 to develop awareness, explore and understand careers and the connected preparedness that may go with these careers.
Transition Readiness for Elementary and Middle School
Transition Readiness for Elementary and Middle Level is a practical and engaging event designed to help educators, families, and support teams prepare students with disabilities for future success. Focused on early transition planning, the session will explore age-appropriate strategies to build foundational skills in areas like self-awareness, independence, and goal setting, setting the stage for smoother transitions into high school and beyond.

ESU6 Indicator 13 Guided Upload
Review and upload IEPs selected for Indicator 13 File Reviews. SE Regional Facilitator will provide support for school districts to complete this in a timely manner and prepare for potential areas of need.
ESU5 Guided Upload
Bring your files to review prior to submitting for the Indicator 13 Self-Evaluation. At least 1 person from each district needs to complete the file review. SE Region Transition Facilitator will share the rubric with you and support review and upload of files.
ESU4 Indicator 13 Guided Upload
Join us for a half-day with Michalla Schartz with a focus on the Guided Upload for Indicator 13, in alignment with Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) requirements.This hands-on training is designed for Special Education Directors and Secondary Special Education Teachers to ensure compliance with Indicator 13, which monitors transition planning in IEPs for students aged 14 and older.
