We are bringing back the wildly popular Agencies and Anxiety zoom series again this year (with a few minor adjustments).  The topics have shifted a bit in response to what you have requested.  Here is the exciting news!

18+ Transition Services can be one of those decisions that seems confusing. This session will help teams discuss elements to include early discussions based upon data, involve team members, coordinate with outside agencies, consider academic and IEP goals to build a comprehensive plan to provide a proper educational programming.

Self-determination is having the right to make your own choices and set your own goals. Multiple studies show that people with greater self-determination are healthier, more independent, more well‐adjusted and better able to recognize and resist abuse.

Learn how to write quality and compliant IEPs for Transition age students. Bring an IEP to work on and your computer. All areas of Indicator 13 will be covered. May 29, 2024 @ESU6 in Milford. Hybrid Options are available. Zoom link will be shared after registration ends.

Explore transition planning for students with ASD. Specifically exploring transition activities, ways to involve the family, and community experiences. Starting transition planning early is vital for students with ASD-resources for early age transition assessments and parent letters will be provided.

College is very different than high school. The shift in responsibility and services moves from parent to student. Hear from college experts what you can do to prepae your young adult for:

• self-disclosing thier disability
• the difference between accommodations in HS vs. College
• what paperwork is needed to make the transition
• requesting housing, mental health or other accommodations.
