Proof of attendance will occur at the end of each session by completing a google form that will create a Certificate of Attendance that will be emailed out for each attendee (can serve as proof of a transition activity!)

We are bringing back the wildly popular Agencies and Anxiety zoom series again this year (with a few minor adjustments).  The topics have shifted a bit in response to what you have requested.  Here is the exciting news!

Supported Decision Making: Promoting Self-Determination From Theory to Practice

Disability Rights Nebraska is hosting a Summit to raise awareness of Supported Decision Making (SDM) as a means to increase self-determination among people with disabilities and the aging population. Self-determination is having the right to make your own choices and set your own goals. Multiple studies show that people with greater self-determination are healthier, more independent, more well‐adjusted and better able to recognize and resist abuse.

Empower Hour: Transition Planning for students with low-incidence disabilities (ASD)

Explore transition planning for students with ASD. Specifically exploring transition activities, ways to involve the family, and community experiences. Starting transition planning early is vital for students with ASD-resources for early age transition assessments and parent letters will be provided.
